Local Climate Change Roadmap
Roteiro Local para as Alterações Climáticas

In December 2008, in Poznan, Poland, the Local Government Sessions took place at the occasion of the 14th Conference of the Parties (COP 14) of the United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), commonly known as the Kyoto Protocol.

This important international event brought together Local Government representative from all over the world to elaborate a draft text, open to discussion, which collects the contributions from all Local Governments for the final writing of the new Global Climate Agreement (post – 2012) which will replace the Kyoto Protocol.

The partners involved in the draft text of the Local Governments Climate Roadmap are: United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), Metropolis, ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, the C40 Climate Leadership Group and the World Mayors Council on Climate Change.
